The 2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross has received a 5-Star Overall Safety Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the highest-possible overall score a vehicle can earn.
Both the front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive variants of the 2020 Eclipse Cross received the 5-star rating thanks to strong performance in every category. The Eclipse Cross scored five out of five stars in the passenger-side frontal crash test, five stars in the combined side crash ratings, four stars in the rollover test and four stars in the driver’s side frontal crash test.
“The safety of our customers on the road is of the utmost importance to us, and receiving a 5-Star rating from NHTSA validates our engineers’ efforts to design the highest level of quality and safety into every vehicle we build,” said Cason Grover, director of product planning for Mitsubishi Motors North America. “Eclipse Cross continues to offer consumers an impressive combination of value, performance and dependability, along with top-level safety scores.”
In addition to its excellent safety scores, the 2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross comes with a number of driver assistance systems that help you avoid getting into a crash in the first place. These include Forward-Collision Mitigation, Lane Departure Warning and Automatic High Beams, all of which are standard on the SE and SEL trims.
