2018 has been a great year for Mitsubishi Motors, which is on pace after six months to continue its status as the auto industry’s fastest-growing non-luxury brand.
Mitsubishi’s June sales saw one of the biggest growing trends of the year, with sales up over 46 percent compared to June 2017. For the first half of the year, total sales grew 23.4 percent.
Leading this growth are Mitsubishi’s family of crossovers. At the head of the pack is the Outlander, which sold 3,673 units in June — a gain of 58.8 percent over last year. Another big seller was the smaller Outlander Sport, which also sold over 3,000 units.
The Outlander PHEV, the newest member of the family, sales nationwide sales of 390 units in June. This brings its year-to-date sales to 1,956 units. Total sales for all Mitsubishi crossovers combined came to 8,250. This is an increase of 64.4 percent over June 2017.
At the other end of the lineup is the subcompact Mirage — the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid vehicle in America. It had a sales jump of 42.8 percent over last year’s June sales. This is an exciting time to own a Mitsubishi thanks to our ever-growing lineup of innovative and modern vehicles.
