Executives must have sat back and smiled at the end of July as they saw yet another Mitsubishi sales increase in North America – the 16th consecutive month of year-over-year sales increases. In June, Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. reported that it had sold 7,963 units, 32.3% more than the year before.
This puts sales for the first half of the year up by 24.9% over the strong performance last year.
“The first half of last year was pretty incredible for Mitsubishi Motors,” said Don Swearingen, executive vice president of MMNA. “And this year our January through June sales are even stronger, up 24.9% for the year. We expect this pace to continue as the new 2016 Outlander starts to roll into dealerships.”
The 2016 Outlander, set to appear later this year, has been completely redesigned, filled with upgrades, and, miraculously, will cost less the current generation Outlander. The new Outlander will also be the first vehicle to feature Mitsubishi’s new design language. Be sure to come by Mountaineer Mitsubishi to check it out.by
