Mitsubishi recently showcased the new Mitsubishi GT PHEV Concept at the Paris Motor Show. This advanced model is designed reshape the industry with its intelligent alternative-energy powertrain and modern styling. In essence, the new GT PHEV Concept is setting new standards for green technologies.
The Mitsubishi GT PHEV has a futuristic and modern exterior design. A “dynamic shield” grille makes a bold statement, covering a large portion of the front end. Thin headlights are aggressive and sharp, accentuating the sloping contours of this aerodynamic model. The interior is wrapped in subdued red leather, according to Green Car Reports, adding sophistication without overwhelming drivers and passengers.
Under the hood of the new GT PHEV is a 2.5-liter gasoline engine that is paired with three separate electric motors. One motor pairs with the engine to power the front wheels, while the other two motors are used for the rear wheels. This gives the PHEV a truly one-of-a-kind all-wheel drive design. The 25 kWh battery pack gives you enough storage for up to 75 miles of all-electric range. There is no word yet on total range or MPGe.
Mitsubishi has been working on multiple PHEV SUV designs over the years, which means the new GT Concept has some great new features and refined systems. There is no word yet as to when, or if, the new model will hit the market. Nevertheless, this green SUV shows what the company would like to do it the near future.by
