Affordable 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Named One of KBB’s 10 Best

Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com has honored the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander as one of their 10 Most Affordable Three-Row Vehicles of 2016, landing impressively at third place on the list, and cementing the vehicle’s spot as one of the best family-friendly models on the road.

To be eligible for the list, vehicles must be able to seat either seven or eight passengers, and all of the models are in a price range of $23,000 to $30,000.

Concerning the Outlander, Chief Operating Officer of MMNA Don Swearingen said, “Our objective was to provide consumers with a reliable, value-oriented vehicle that offers them the technology, safety and utility today’s families require”

And it’s clear that Mitsubishi has achieved just that with the latest Outlander, which has also been praised for its safety features, fuel efficiency, and versatility.

Mitsubishi Sales Increase for 16th Month Year-Over Year

Executives must have sat back and smiled at the end of July as they saw yet another Mitsubishi sales increase in North America – the 16th consecutive month of year-over-year sales increases. In June, Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. reported that it had sold 7,963 units, 32.3% more than the year before.

This puts sales for the first half of the year up by 24.9% over the strong performance last year.

“The first half of last year was pretty incredible for Mitsubishi Motors,” said Don Swearingen, executive vice president of MMNA. “And this year our January through June sales are even stronger, up 24.9% for the year. We expect this pace to continue as the new 2016 Outlander starts to roll into dealerships.”

The 2016 Outlander, set to appear later this year, has been completely redesigned, filled with upgrades, and, miraculously, will cost less the current generation Outlander. The new Outlander will also be the first vehicle to feature Mitsubishi’s new design language. Be sure to come by Mountaineer Mitsubishi to check it out.

2016 Mitsubishi Outlander on Top of Cars.com’s List of Most Affordable Three-Row Crossovers

Just over a month after the pricing of the redesigned Outlander was announced, Mitsubishi has more news on the new model: due to the lowered MSRP and great value, Cars.com placed the 2016 Mitsubishi on top of Cars.com’s list of most affordable three-row crossovers.

The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander was redesigned from the 2015 model, adding over one hundred design and engineering improvements to create a more stylish, safer, and quieter SUV, all with an MSRP below the price of the 2015 Outlander.

“We designed the 2016 Outlander to be an unmatched value in its segment, so it’s no surprise to us that it leads the way on the Cars.com list of most affordable 3-row crossovers,” said Don Swearingen, MMNA Executive Vice President. “From its long list of features, to available advanced safety technologies and a new eye-catching design, the seven passenger Outlander is a leader in value and reliability.”

Mitsubishi Introduces New Design Language with 2016 Outlander

Did you think you had seen all Mitsubishi has to offer? Think again. The automaker is switching it up, with its new design language being featured for the first time on a production vehicle. The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander made its grand entrance at the New York International Auto Show earlier this month, and we like what we see.

“The 2016 Outlander has an eye-catching design aesthetic inside and out, and with its long list of engineering upgrades the new Outlander literally looks, drives and feels like an entirely new vehicle, making it an even more compelling value than before,” said Mitsubishi Motors North America executive vice president, Don Swearingen.

Mitsubishi designers and engineers left no panel unturned and no surface uncovered when it came to enhancing the vehicle. In fact, more than 100 modifications and improvements were made.

The front design of the new Outlander bears the name “Dynamic Shield.” More than an aesthetic, it is designed to better protect the vehicle and its passengers. Inside, even the steering wheel has been redesigned and rear seating reconfigured. Advanced technology is used throughout to make the vehicle safer and more comfortable.

We at Mountaineer Mitsubishi will, of course, be sure to keep you posted on the model’s arrival in our showroom. We can’t wait to get a closer look at the new Mitsubishi.
